Fair Winds is an Allied Seawind ketch designed by Thomas Gilmer and built in 1962 by the Allied Boat Company in Catskill, NY.

It is an exceptional well built vessel with beautiful traditional sheer lines and solid construction, the full keel & ketch rig provides her with an exceptional well balanced tracking ability under any point of sail.

A Seawind sister ship ( Apogee, hull # 1) was the first small fiberglass boat to circumnavigate the globe in 1964 and a few others have been recorded as accomplishing the same feat thereafter; a true small blue water boat for extended offshore cruising.

This vessel has been upgraded with many features designed for long range cruising since my intentions where and still are to live the dream of cruising into the distant horizons, only that my plans have now changed and need to move up a little more in size.

Fair Winds is berthed in Fajardo, PR. ready for inspection and in sail away conditions willing and able to take her new owner/captain into new adventures.
