Police should have consulted members of Traditional Health Practitioners Association of Zambia (THPAZ) to establish if witchcraft ever works at all. The truth is that President HH was not physically involved in the abduction and torture of JJ Banda. However, if witchcraft works in Africa, the “JuJu” to be administered by two persons allegedly hired by JJ Banda’s Family could have been targeted to HAUNT persons who actually abducted and tortured JJ Banda. This weird allegation to redirect witchcraft planned to harm President HH has exposed the Zambian Police to international ridicule.

@Patriot thas Very easy. Just bring the two main complainants, Mr and Mrs Hichilema and show the court how traumatised they are by the incident. Mrs Hichilema would testify to how HH is no longer eating his Mabisi and how he is waking up talking in his sleep every night shouting “Tandili analuuntambwe!”

And the BBC are making a meal of it. Through the colonialist broadcaster, the whole world can see how superstitious Zambians are

@MuZambian, It’s one thing to have a certain percentage of UNEDUCATED superstitious people in the country ( every country has a potion of its population that remain uneducated). But it’s another thing when that superstition is being promoted by an educated government that’s supposed be dealing in scientific facts and reasoning. If you were the prosecutor in a case like the one mentioned in the article above, how would go about proving that these two individuals posed any danger to anybody? How would you prove that whatever “charms” and a Chameleon the suspects had in possesion posed any danger to anybody? Hello?

What happened to us being a Christian Nation? First it was those people arrested at the High Court and now this? What does this say about our leaders? Are they a bunch of superstitious people engaged in spiritual warfare against one another? GRZ should have pushed this event under the carpet because there is no legal basis for this nonsense. At a time our country has serious challenges with food and energy, our leaders are busy pushing these narratives and diverting attention at serious matters

Fresha is right. India has more foreign influences than Japan and China. India was colonized by the British, Portuguese, Dutch, French, afghans etc.
Japan has never been colonised. Even during the 7 years of occupation one can’t say Japanese culture or education was destroyed, only influenced.
China was colonised by Japan but with little influence and the revolution wiped these out

Iwe MuZambian naiwe! liar wakuti? Have you studied them? And who are you referring to Kansi? You seem to lump India China and Japan together. India is very different from Japan and from China. The Japanese Kamikaze culture came out of their superstitions about the emperor being some god. Its no longer practiced. Shinto and Buddhism are now the main beliefs.
The Chinese banned all metaphysical references and religion during the revolution. I have tried to speak to those in Zambia -try speaking to them-about God and they are lost. They genuinely dont know what you are talking about. Its only now that religion is making a comeback of some kind in China.

Zambia is behind / backwards / reversing. It’s simply a verbatim remnant of British colonial law, Britain removed it in the 1940s for their own country but we still are waiting for transport to remove this nonsense. Causing alarm or making threats should be the charges
