Its estimated that the Congo forest absorbs about 1.1 billion tons of CO2 annually. This reduces the Carbon dioxide and helps maintain oxygen levels. So you see it can afford to increase population with pollution the last of its worries. Kinshasa will only be concerned about keeping peace with such a large crowd of Banyamurenge, Nyangas Hutes etc. Tribalism is our main worry in Africa.

Now its people? Amasushi ka? I am wondering why the researcher has put the DRC on the list of potential pollutants.

Fire up up to about 4 coal-powered electricity stations so you can meet your needs and complement your failing hydro electric grid. Population is not even a subject to be concerned with right now.

Hence, the West needs to take a leading role while leaving us alone to manage our economies without restrictions.
