The first challenge when you arrive back home is to be shunned, worse if you get employment and attempt to replicate the acquired skills to enhance performance, you face resistance, subortage and plots to demean the efforts of doing things differently and truthful to the point. ”Dont Drink and Drive” is an affront to Zambian way of looking at things. Yet, they dress up well at funerals and speak well of the departed, and not when alive to prevent the tragedy of death.

I am a big fan of Mwewa he is one of the few Zambians who speak sense.

Chitabala’s message to Zambian musicians is one of tough love. Although the timing of the message appears to be suspect, the message is simple. Zambian musicians, you are a treasure to the nation and your safety at peak times such as Christmas and New Year is vital. I think Chitabala was trying to use shocking tactics to drill the message home but you don’t do that knowing someone is fighting for their life. This is where Chitabala should learn to switch back to tradition and gauge the mood of the nation a bit better as a social media influencer.

Speaking good English is not a qualification but a means to communication. Someone fluent in Tonga, Lozi or Kaonde isn’t any different to someone fluent in English. Intelligence is when you apply common sense to the knowledge you gain over time. An Education abroad especially in advanced countries allows you to see things differently. Assuming all children educated abroad have empty heads is in itself a sign of ignorance and part of the same problem.
