@ Tarino Orange… When Levy Mwanawasa became president he cast his net wide to get the best people as ministers. Of course he wasn’t 100 percent right. Appointing someone who has been minister in every government is nothing but just an appeasement…. common sense is what value did he bring to these governments?

Deja Vu – The problem HH7 has is that he still hasnt got the right people in ministries…this is not something you get right at the initial appointments after you elected, you have to make adjustments in the form of reshuffles. He should have done that at the last press conference instead of focusing on Nakacinda and PF…that was a missed opportunity now look at him making assurances everywhere because his media team is not putting the message across. You the head of state can not be 4 days in RSA negotiating with Mining Executives in RSA..you have to get competent people in there to represent your govt and the country.

#18 Ng’ombe.. which PF guys are you referring to? You mean the entire Chingola and specifically Nchanga is PF? Chingola is on tenterhooks right now. Vedanta was kicked out of KCM on the instigation of the residents of Chingola and complaints from various stake holders. Don’t just scrap on top of the matter. This not as easy as you make.

#14 Tarino Orange there’s confusion where even party functionaries are making statements which are supposed to be made by cabinet ministers. Even a provincial minister will announce policy that’s outside his area of administration. HH needs to rethink about the whole setup.

HH will bring sanity to the Mining industry. It’s obvious that it will not be a walk in the park. Milingo had to go first and that brought it’s own drama but he is out now. Armchair critics where busy sharing monies from shady contracts given to them by Milingo Lungu now they want details of ongoing negotiations. Our Asian brothers too will do anything for money.

I understand the critics. It’s like a jealous ex lover who keeps an eye on their exes new lover. You PF guys thought that KCM woes will fikaisova by itself.

How can you merely dispell allegations that government has given back Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) to Vedanta Resources and not catergorically state that they are not coming back. Vedanta’s charm offensive campaign is in full …you need to come clean and even instittute a commission of inquiry into the the KCM debacle if you are serious. People need answers
