That precisely means government hasnt done its job. 60 years after independence we should have had a service to provide technical assistance for all self builders of homes. The ministry of housing should have been coaching builders on the dos and donts and even researching safe locations for houses so that they arent built in flood prone areas.

Because you have enough money, building materials and other things needed to build the so called standard houses and you think everyone has. Bwana people have ln the very houses for centuries and nothing happened. In other countries even the so called standard houses have not been spared by some natural caters trophies . We need more and more rains for country to survive. In the process some houses will be dstroyed. Some life will be lost in floods and cholera will come. But like in a war …..some lives get lost for the benefit of others. And life goes own. WE NEED THE RAINS!!
